Meet the Principal
LINDSAY AMSTUTZ
I was raised in a family of teachers and now my brother Luke and I are fourth-generation teachers! Our great grandmother Mable Amstutz was a teacher in a one-room school house, our grandfather Max Amstutz was a lifelong teacher and our dad, Jeff, was also a teacher.
I started my educational journey as an FWCS student. After high school, I graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington and began my teaching career as a middle and high school social studies teacher. During that time, I also coached volleyball and basketball coach.
While teaching, I realized my love for leading and pursued my master’s degree administration. I spent time as the Assistant Principal at Lincoln Elementary and Haley Elementary before becoming the Principal at Fairfield Elementary. I have now been Principal at Northcrest since 2020. I love the diversity of cultures, languages, and backgrounds the most about Northcrest. We are a school family and embrace our similarities and differences!
My goals for Northcrest Elementary School are for us to continue to grow. We are currently at our highest enrollment in history! I also want increase student achievement in reading and math, and to produce lifelong learners who make a positive difference in our community.
I would love for Northcrest parents, students, and the community to know that I am a dedicated, life-long educator whose most important jobs are to ensure student safety and to make sure students are learning at a high level. Our teachers and staff are amazing, loving, and talented and willing to go above and beyond for our students.
